Best-All-Around Disney Park for Toddlers

Although we love all of the Disney World theme parks, we have to say our favorite for toddlers is The Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom is a popular park for many different reasons, and one of them is that it’s great for little kids!

We have an entire article dedicated to the best Disney rides for toddlers, but there are lots of great ones in Magic Kingdom.

While you may already know about the awesome food and thrill rides in this park, several of the main attractions are suitable for tykes too.

And Fantasyland is home to several rides tailored specifically for little kids, making it a dream come true.

Magic Kingdom Rides for Toddlers

In Fantasy Land you will find several fun rides that are perfect for toddlers!

  • The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
  • Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • It’s a Small World
  • Dumbo’s Flying Elephants (which has an awesome playground for kids to play on while they wait)
  • And many more!

There are also other rides throughout the park that your little ones will enjoy too such as the People Mover, which provides a nice, relaxing break. and Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise or Liberty Square Riverboat.

The Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrow Land is an interactive show that offers your family a chance to sit down and enjoy some jokes.

More Magic Kingdom Fun for Toddlers

If your toddler just can’t sit still any longer, or doesn’t enjoy the Disney World wait times, there are other fun things in the park to do!

Character cavalcades and parades will provide the perfect opportunity for your toddler to get out of their stroller, stretch and watch their favorite characters dance down Main Street.

There’s a small play space by Splash Mountain that’s perfect for younger tykes to burn off some energy. And don’t forget the playground at Dumbo’s Flying Elephants that I mentioned.

If the park gets too hot and you want to let them stay cool at Disney World, be sure to visit the Splash N Soak Station located in Fantasyland.

Best Low-Stress Disney Park for Toddlers

If you decide you’re tired of chasing after your tot through Magic Kingdom, taking a break and going to Epcot will provide some much needed relaxation.

There are many lower-stress things to do at this park, which makes for a more relaxed day.

Toddler-Friendly Activities at Epcot

There are plenty of toddler-friendly things to do during your day at Epcot.

For instance, toddlers love to wander around the aquarium at SeaBase, in World Nature.

Simply hop on the slow-moving The Seas with Nemo & Friends ride and, once you exit, you will find yourself immersed in aquatic life.

Not only will it captivate their little imaginations, it will also provide a calming atmosphere.

Epcot also has more play spaces designated especially for little kids.  There are splash pads as well as playgrounds.

For an indoor playground with air conditioning, be sure to head to the back entrance of Mission Space. This will buy you a much needed break from the heat while the kids burn off some energy.

While walking around the World Showcase, be sure to ask about Kidcot Fun Stops

These are designed just for kids and are a fun and free activity to keep their minds busy and provide some educational time.

Best Disney Park for Meeting Characters with Toddlers

If you’re wanting to see as many characters as possible, Magic Kingdom will again be the best park.

While COVID-19 protocols have affected Disney character meets, you can still see some of your toddler’s favorites.

Not only are there cavalcades happening throughout the day, but there are characters that meet along the top of the train station on Main Street too.

There’s also the option for character dining, which allows the characters to walk around and come right to your table while you chow down on delicious food!

The Crystal Palace is one of our favorite character dining options, offering a delicious buffet.

Even though you can’t go up to characters and hug or physically interact with them right now, you still can take pictures and talk to them.

While The Magic Kingdom offers the most character sightings and interactions, Hollywood Studios is the only park where your little one can meet Disney Junior Characters.

This is where you will find the Disney Junior Dance Party show (just check to make sure the attraction is open again, as it has been temporarily unavailable).
