Here are ten of the best foods that you need to try at Disney’s California Adventure park!

1. Chili Cone Queso 

The Chili Cone Queso at the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land at the Disney California Adventure park is a must-try hearty snack while you are there.

A soft and delicious bread cone serves as your “bowl” for a hearty chili topped with Fritos and shredded cheese.

This is a great choice for lunch or dinner or a hearty snack to share. 

2. Monte Cristo Sandwich

The Monte Cristo sandwich at Disney Adventure Parks is wildly popular, so popular in fact that when the parks were forced to shut their doors in 2020, Disney released the official recipe for this amazing sandwich.

You can find the Monte Cristo sandwich at Cafe Orleans and the Blue Bayou Restaurant

After trying it, you will know why this sandwich is so famous. These battered and fried ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese sandwiches are topped with powdered sugar and seasonal preserves for dipping.

This is a must for any top ten list of foods to try at the California Adventure park. 

3. Not So Little Chicken Sandwich

The not so little chicken sandwich at the Disneyland California Adventure Park can be found at the Pym Test Kitchen on the Avengers campus.

This tasty chicken sandwich features a large fried chicken breast topped with teriyaki and red chili sauces, and cabbage slaw, on a brioche bun that is served alongside tater tots.

A flavorful and delicious lunch or dinner option while you are in the park! 

4. Lobster Nachos

Lobster and nachos may sound like an odd combination, but the flavor is delicious and famous at Disney’s California Adventure park.

You will find these unique nachos served at the Lamplight Lounge.

The portions are generous and the nacho chips are topped with warm lobster, black beans, aged Oxaco cheddar cheese sauce, fresh pico de gallo, and chipotle crema.

This dish is perfect for sharing! 

5. Jack Jacks Cookie Num Nums

If you are looking for the best place to grab a sweet snack as you wander the park, then head on over to Jack Jacks Cookie Num Nums in Pixar Pier.

The cookie you are looking for is one of the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums. A deep dish, warm chocolate chip cookie that is crispy on the outside and gooey and delicious on the inside.

Don’t forget the milk! 

6. Asada Fries

If you are searching the park for a savory snack then head on over to Award Wieners hot dog stand in Hollywood Land for some award-winning Asada fries!

These film strip fries are topped with marinated carne asada, cheddar cheese, onions and cilantro, guacamole, and Salsa de Arbol.

These fries are delicious and flavorful, share them with a friend so you can share some dessert too!

7. Funnel Cake Fries

Funnel cake fries are a not to be missed treat while you are visiting California Adventure Park!

These amazing treats are actually funnel cakes in french fry form and these quick bites are addicting!

Funnel cake fries change seasonally, so make sure you grab some on each visit to sample all of the flavors! 

8. Bread Bowls

Another delicious savory food item at California Adventure Parks are the famous bread bowls that you will find at the Pacific Wharf Cafe.

The bread bowls are made with sourdough bread from the famous Boudin Bakery in San Francisco. 

You can get these bowls stuffed full of popular menu items such as broccoli cheese soup, clam chowder, or macaroni and cheese. They also offer seasonal favorites that are also served in bread bowls.

You can also go on a tour of the bakery where they make the bread to see how it’s made and get yourself a free sample! 

9. Schmoozies Shakes

Looking for the best milkshake or smoothie in the park? Then you need to head over to Schmoozies in Hollywood Land.

Schmoozies offers a seasonal selection of shakes and smoothies for you to try. The banana shake and “Make Mine Mocha” are always favorites!

This is a great option for cooling down on a warm afternoon.

10. Cheddar Cheese Stick

It may sound ridiculously simple, but what it really is, is ridiculously delicious!

Melty cheddar cheese dipped in corn dog batter and fried, these cheddar cheese sticks are not to be missed.

You can find cheddar cheese sticks, hot link corn dogs, original corn dogs, and a smattering of seasonal offerings at the Corn Dog Castle in the Paradise Gardens section of the park.

These are just ten of the amazing foods that you will find available at California Adventure Park. There are LOTS of other delicious menu offerings available, and seasonal favorites as well. 

No matter when you visit, one of the best things about this Disneyland park is that you’re sure to have plenty of delicious options at your fingertips!
