I’m breaking down my top attractions at Hollywood Studios to help you plan ahead for your next vacation.
If you’re anything like me, I like to plan ahead as much as possible when going to Disney World. Park tickets cost a pretty penny not to mention if you add Lightening Lanes, you’ll want to make the most of your visit. Knowing which rides and attractions to prioritize for you and your family will really help make a big difference in managing your time well in the park.
I have compiled a list of my must do attractions at Hollywood Studios and provided a detailed explanation for their ranking. I hope this will help you plan ahead for your next trip!

Slinky Dog Dash
This kid friendly rollercoaster is not only thrilling for little kids but for adult as well! You’ll hop into a life size Slinky dog as you ride through Andy’s backyard. You may want to prioritize this ride first thing in the morning, especially if you have little kids as this line stays pretty long all day and the line que is outdoors.
Height Requirements: All riders must be 38 inches tall to ride.
Location: Toy Story Land
Rating: I give this ride a solid ten. It’s fun for all ages but not too scary!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance:
My second attraction on this list is a super immersive ride featuring a fun line que as well. You will be boarding a vehicle on an escape mission with a droid as your driver. They will help you avoid Kylo Ren and escape safely back to earth. This ride is full of surprises and adventure but may be too thrilling for smaller kids. It usually has a long line as well so be sure to plan accordingly.
Height Requirements: You must be 40 inches tall to ride but use discretion with smaller kids who may meet the height requirement but might end up scared.
Location: Galaxy’s Edge
Rating: This ride gets a nine from me. It’s got great theming and is really lots of fun, but it’s not suitable for really small kids so you will have to take advantage of rider swap.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway:
This ride is fun and adorable. It features the Mickey gang and after a short preshow you will board a train and Goofy is the conductor. Needless to say, with Goofy driving, it doesn’t go quite as planned. It’s a fun adventure for everyone of all ages.
Heigh Requirements: Anyone can ride!
Location: Chinese Theater
Rating: I give this a nine. It’s cute and perfect for everyone in your family! Since this ride is indoors, it’s got some pretty loud noises. If anyone in your party is averse to loud sounds you may want to bring some noise canceling earphones.

Beauty and The Beast Live show:
A trip to Hollywood Studios would not be complete without watching this show. It’s been an attraction since the animated Movie came out in 1992. Not only is it nostalgic but the performance is literally top notch. It features all of the characters and songs from the original movie.
Height requirements: None
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Rating: This show is really spectacular and will captivate children and adults of all ages. With multiple showings throughout the day, you can’t miss it. I give it a ten!

Tower of Terror:
This ride is perfect for all thrill seekers! I love the Twilight Zone theming and feel like this is a must do attraction! It features an elevator that drops after being struck by lightening. Beware though, it doesn’t just drop once, ensuring you have loads of thrills.
Height requirements: You must be 40 inches tall to ride but use discretion for smaller kids who meet the height requirement but may be scared by the theming and multiple drops.
Location: Sunset Boulevard
Rating: I rate this attraction at an eight. I love the theming and the ride but my stomach doesn’t always agree with the multiple drops. You may not want to ride right after eating.

Toy Story Mania!:
This is a fun ride that is perfect for some family friendly competition. On this ride you will be taken through multiple virtual, carnival type games that you will shoot at with your canon. Whoever hits the most targets and gets the most points wins!
Height requirement: None
Location: Toy Story Land
Rating: I rate this ride a ten! It’s so fun for everyone of all ages and many times the line isn’t too long which is a definite perk!

Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring Aerosmith:
This rollercoaster packs a big punch. It’s fast, in the dark, and blasts hit songs by Aerosmith. While this ride will be undergoing renovation in the near future, I couldn’t leave it off of my list.
height requirement: You must be 48 inches tall to ride. This rollercoaster is very intense.
Location: Sunset boulevard
Rating: Another ten! This ride is seriously so much fun and I love the music as well!

Muppet Vision 3-D: (future home of the new Monster’s Inc. Land)
Okay, this is another attraction that will be changing soon but I wanted to include it as well. This show is such an iconic staple from my Disney childhood memories. It’s timeless. Even as an adult, it is still so funny and a great way to get out of the heat and avoid the lines.
Height requirement: None
Location: Grand Avenue
Rating: I give this one a ten. It’s a classic that holds so much nostalgia but is still really good all of these years later.

Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run:
Here’s another Star Wars themed ride that is really immersive. Starting with the line que you’ll feel like you’re about to board the Millennium Falcon and then once you’re aboard, you really feel like you’re on it. You can expect something different to happen every time you ride because you’re relying on everyone in your star craft to fulfill different duties on this simulator type ride.
Height requirement: You must be 38 inches tall to ride.
Location: Galaxy’s Edge
Rating: I give this ride an eight. It’s really fun and fully immersive but sometimes you can be given duties that aren’t quite as fun as others. Still, It’s a top pick!
There you have it. My top attraction picks that I try to prioritize every time I visit Hollywood Studios. If you decide to go all in with Lightening Lanes, I recommend making Slinky Dog Dash or Rise of the Resistance your first priorities. Those pretty much always have very long lines and run out of Lightening Lanes the quickest.
I hope this is helpful in your planning and figuring which rides are the most must see for everyone in your party. Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite Disney theme parks. Between all of the rides, shows and character meet and greets you will have no shortage of fun things to do!
