The holiday season is a magical time at Disney Springs, located at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

From mid-November through early January, guests at Disney Springs can enjoy a festive atmosphere complete with holiday decorations, seasonal entertainment, and plenty of shopping and dining options.

Christmas at Disney World is an especially fun time to visit, because there are so many festive offerings.

Some of the highlights of the season is the Jingle Bell Jingle BAM holiday show at Hollywood Studios, which is a fireworks and special effects spectacle that lights up the sky.

Then there’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a festive after-hours event in the Magic Kingdom.

And of course we can’t forget the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays celebrations!

But that’s not where the fun stops!

Guests can also enjoy Christmas at Disney Springs, the popular shopping district right on Disney property, to enjoy free and low cost holiday entertainment.

These activities include meeting Jolly St. Nick himself, live performances of Christmas music, seasonal decorations, and holiday shopping opportunities.

Disney Springs Christmas Events

When it comes to celebrating the holidays at Disney World, Disney Springs events are the highlight of the season.

Each holiday season offers unique entertainment options, including photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, carolers singing throughout the town center, a magical snowfall near the huge Disney Springs Christmas tree that’s perfect for dancing under.

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll

One of the highlights of Christmas at Disney Springs is the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth.

This self-guided tour takes visitors on a journey through the shopping district to see elaborately decorated Christmas trees.

Each tree is sponsored by a different Disney character or movie and features unique ornaments and decorations. Examples of Christmas tree themes from the past few years include:

  • The Princess and the Frog
  • Frozen 2
  • Coco
  • Up!
  • Moana
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Encanto
  • Raya and the Last Dragon
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Enchanted Christmas Tree and more!

Trees are typically lit up with beautiful twinkling lights, and each tree features a Disney theme.

The gorgeous trees are not only a great photo opportunity, but they also serve as a reminder of the spirit of Christmas.

Guests can pick up a map of the Christmas Tree Stroll at any participating location and mark the map with stickers for each tree they find.

The trail begins at the Waterfront Stage and ends at The Landing. Once completed, guests can return their map to a designated location to receive a special prize.

The tree stroll is free to enjoy while exploring Disney Springs throughout the holiday season.

Santa Claus at Disney Springs

No visit to Disney Springs during the holidays is complete without meeting Santa!

Each year, guests can find Santa in his special cottage located inside the Once Upon a Toy store in the Marketplace.

He typically is available from mid-November through Christmas Eve, giving children a chance to share their holiday wishes and take photos.

Live Entertainment

There are many fantastic live shows at Disney World, and Disney Springs is no exception!

Continuing the festive feeling, live music and entertainment can be found throughout the day and night.

From carolers singing holiday classics to jazz bands playing in the town square, guests can enjoy a variety of Christmas-themed entertainment while shopping and dining at Disney Springs.

Many of the stores, including World of Disney, offer special holiday-themed merchandise, such as Christmas ornaments, festive apparel, and unique gifts.
